Warrnambool Beach Sunset Toddler Photo Session
A few days ago, Stella and I headed to the Blue Hole; where the Hopkins River meets the ocean, in Warrnambool.
A beautiful sunset was on its way so I thought it’d be the perfect night to take some photos of Stella at her happy place, the beach.
We wandered along the pretty track that leads to the beach, surrounded by trees, picking up sticks, leaves and stones as we went.
Once we got off the track and on to the dunes, Stella was fascinated by the soft sand and couldn’t stop watching as her feet sank into it. I hadn’t brought her here since before she could walk as we usually go to Stingray Bay where the sand is always hard, so this was all new and so fun for her - it’s safe to say this will be our regular spot now!
As the sun set, I followed Stella around while she made little footprints in the sand and followed the paw prints of dogs who had been there earlier.
We watched on as photographers set up their cameras and tripods, also making the most of this stunning night and capturing the sun beaming through from behind the cliffs.
As the sky turned dark, we headed back to the car. We decided to walk along the sand at the edge of the river instead of the track this time, so that we could say hello to the dogs that we could see playing and running around in the water, on our way past.
Whether you want family photos where you’re surrounded by beautiful trees and bushes, or photos on the beach, this is the perfect spot. You can find more images from this session below.
